Teen Violence Awareness

Teen dating violence affects far too many young people and should never be dismissed as normal behavior or just “drama.” Nearly one in three teens report experiencing physical, emotional, or sexual abuse in their relationships.

This type of violence is serious and deeply harmful. It’s crucial that young people feel supported and heard.

At Live for Liv, we are committed to working with communities to teach healthy relationship skills and empower people of all ages to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse.

Youth Prevention at Live for Liv

Support for Educators

When a student is struggling, teachers and school staff are often the first to notice. Live for Liv provides training and tools that help educators respond with care, recognize early signs of abuse, and create classroom environments that support safety and trust.

Peer Leadership That Makes a Difference

Young people listen to each other. That’s why we support peer-led groups that encourage real conversations about boundaries, respect, and accountability. With mentorship and guidance, teens become leaders in preventing violence in their communities.

Workshops for Families and Caregivers

We help families start the conversations that matter. Through our workshops, caregivers learn how to support their teens, model healthy relationships, and respond with compassion when a young person opens up.

PAVE: Peers Against Violence Educators

Live for Liv proudly supports PAVE at Waltham High School—a student-led group focused on healthy communication, recognizing abuse, and supporting their peers. It’s youth-driven prevention in action.

You Can Make a Difference

When teens experience dating violence, many say they would turn to a trusted adult or friend. But when they’re met with blame, disbelief, or shame, they often shut down—and the cycle of silence continues.

Supportive responses matter. Just one person listening with compassion can be the reason a young person chooses to reach out again. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, coach, or friend, you might be that safe person for someone.

Want to learn how to support the teens in your life? Live for Liv offers community workshops and youth-focused programs that help adults and peers respond with care. Contact us to get involved or schedule a session.
